Information Office Point I : Just 50m. in front of the church, in the village square, Vao, is Point I. It is staffed by a well-travelled Kunie, Marie-Jeanne, who, in addition to her own native language, speaks English, French, Italian, Czech and Polish.

Office hours are from
8-11.30am and 2-4pm, Monday to Saturday.

• NEW AQUARIUM OPENS IN NOUMEA
 

The wealth of aquatic life in New Caledonia is now accessible to all, with the opening of the new Aquarium in Noumea. Marvel at the variety of marine and freshwater flora and fauna, share in the touch tank and observe the fluorescent corals and the living fossil, the Nautilus.
Whatever time you plan to spend in Isle of Pines, make sure you leave several hours free in Noumea to include the Aquarium in your itinerary.

Opening hours : 10am to 5pm Tuesday to Sunday.
Open Friday evening till 9pm.

Note : Entry closes one hour before in all cases.
